Dartmouth Cross Country Competes at the Princeton Fall Classic

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Dartmouth men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Princeton Fall Classic on Friday, wrapping up the regular season stretch of their schedules.
The women placed 17th overall with 466 points, while the men finished 20th with 463 points.
"Both groups had solid performances today at the Princeton fall classic. We had better races than we did two weeks ago. We're headed in the right direction as we move into the championship portion of our season." Mike Nelson, the Marjorie & Herbert Chase '30 Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country, said.
Katherine Strong came in first for the Big Green, placing 50th with a time of 21:03.8 in the 6k. Esme Daplyn followed behind, finishing the race in 21:32.5. Andie Murray came in third with a time of 21:41.7. Annamaria Bacchetta crossed the finish line fourth in 21:42.5. Mia Compton-Engle rounded out scoring for the Big Green, finishing the race with a final time of 22:12.6.
Ashton Bange opened scoring for Dartmouth, crossing the finish line 69th overall with a time of 24:14.0. Coming in secondly for the Big Green was Eric Sankey with a final time of 24:18.1. Connor Foley came in next with a finishing time of 24:19.9. Rory Gaan finished fourth for the Big Green, finishing the 8k in 24:38.2. Noe Kemper closed out scoring with a 24:43.0 finish.
The Big Green will head to New York City for the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships, hosted by Columbia, on Friday, Oct. 31.
