Men's Cross Country Places Third at Maribel Sanchez Invite

HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's cross country team hosted its only home meet of the season on Saturday, placing third overall at the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational.
"We had an ideal atmosphere for a fall cross-country meet. The weather was perfect and the course was in great shape. Our student-athletes competed well against some New England rival schools," Mike Nelson, the Marjorie & Herbert Chase '30 Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country, said. "Esme and Ashton did an excellent job of leading us, and we had some strong pack running."
Ashton Bange paced the Big Green, finishing second with a mark of 24:48.10. Max Miller placed sixth with a 24:55.00 finish, while Connor Foley finished 12th with a time of 25:25.50.
Rory Gaan crossed 14th for the Big Green with a mark of 25:27.30. Noe Kemper rounded out the scoring, finishing 16th with a time of 25:40.40. Callahan Fielder, Andrew Burr, Foster Laird, David Jiang, Evan Bork, and Eric Sankey also competed for Dartmouth.
The Big Green will travel to Bethlehem, Pa., for the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh on Oct. 3.
