HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth baseball team welcomed Yale to Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park for a three-game series this weekend, the final weekend of the Ivy League regular season.
Â
In the first game of the series Saturday, there were no shortage of hits as the two teams combined for 31 knocks. Yale ran away with the game though, defeating the Big Green 18-4.
Â

Â
Shortly after,
Stefan Di Corrado doubled to left field before
Ethan Brown took his spot on the base paths, bringing Di Corrado home on a double of his own.
Â
Both team's offense remained quiet into the sixth inning, but a sacrifice bunt drove in another Bulldogs' run as they took a 9-2 lead.
Â
Yale exploded in the seventh inning, putting the game out of reach for the Big Green. They plated eight runs on seven hits, all singles, and two walks, making it a 17-2 game.

In the eighth,
Axel Riess squeezed a double out of a pop up down the right field line, eventually coming around to score when
Taer Rodriguez collected his first hit of the day, a single through the left side.
Â
Yale added one more run in the ninth for good measure and despite the Big Green having two runners on in the ninth, they were unable to pull any closer, falling to the Bulldogs, 18-4.
Â
Nate Isler got the start on the mound and took the loss for the Big Green, allowing nine runs on 11 hits in 5.1 innings.
Â
Jeff Lee pitched the remainder of the sixth inning and into the seventh, allowing six runs on five hits.
Â

Â
The Big Green and Bulldogs will return to action Sunday for a doubleheader, the final two games of regular season Ivy League play.
Â
Despite today's loss, the Big Green are still in contention for the final spot in the 2025 Ivy League Tournament. The Big Green need to win just one game to secure their spot.
Â
Yale also has a lot to play for as two more wins over the Big Green would earn them the regular season Ivy League Title as well as the number one seed in the tournament. The number one seed will be the host.
Â
Both of Sunday's games will be streamed on ESPN+ or you ca follow the live stats on DartmouthSports.com. Following Sunday's game, there will be a kids run the bases event as well as post-game autographs with the team.
