Inclusive Excellence
Dartmouth Athletics is committed to fostering a culture where all people are valued and treated with dignity and respect. We celebrate all members of our community being simultaneously accepted for who they are and supported in becoming the best they can be. Inclusive excellence represents the constellation of daily efforts throughout our community that communicate this unconditional sense of belonging and the learning and growth inherent in the pursuit of excellence.
Valuing a Diverse Community
Dartmouth Athletics strives to recruit exceptional student-athletes and develop them into leaders for life. As leaders on our campus, our department embraces Dartmouth's Principles of Community and expects each member to be sensitive to and respectful of the rights and interests of others. We invite and value the different perspectives each member contributes to the Dartmouth athletic experience.
Striving for inclusive excellence is a fundamental value in our Dartmouth community. We will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of, but not limited to, race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, national origin, citizenship, disability, genetic information, military or veteran status, political beliefs or affiliation or any other actual or perceived characteristics or protected status. We will make every effort to ensure all student-athletes, staff and fans feel safe and welcomed in our facilities, at our contests and as part of our teams. It is our belief that athletics will further strengthen our community as "One Dartmouth."
