HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth hosted Yale for the final two games of the regular season Sunday, looking for one win to earn its spot in the 2025 Ivy League tournament.

The Bulldogs' offense picked right up where it left off Saturday, powering Yale to two more wins over the Big Green.

Game 1: Yale 19, Dartmouth 0
In game one of Sunday's doubleheader, the Bulldogs got out to a hot start and did not look back. Despite recording three straight outs in the first inning, Yale loaded the bases with only one out in the second inning on a walk and two hit by pitches. A single would score two runners, giving Yale a 2-0 lead.

The Bulldogs extended their lead by seven runs in the fourth inning, collecting five hits, including a grand slam, three walks, and another hit by pitch to make it a 9-0 game.

Yale added two more runs in the fifth inning thanks to a solo homerun and an RBI double, one run in the sixth on another RBI double and two runs in the seventh on a two-run home run to right field.

Offense for the Bulldogs did not stop there as they plated five more runs in the eighth, making it a 19-0 game.

The Big Green loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning and had two runners on and advanced both to scoring position in the bottom of the ninth inning but were unable to bring any home.

Eddie Albert got the start for the Big Green, allowing nine runs on seven hits in four innings, striking out four.

Andrew Lombana made only his second appearance in Ivy League play, giving up three runs on four hits in two innings of relief.

Matt Carey pitched the seventh, allowing two runs on one hit before
Aidan Plummer pitched the final two innings, giving up five runs on three hits.

Game 2: Yale 10, Dartmouth 1
The final game of the series between Yale and Dartmouth started similarly to the previous two. The Bulldogs got out to an early lead, scoring one run on a throwing error in the first inning.

They extended their lead in the second inning, adding two more runs on two hits to take a 3-0 lead.

Dartmouth responded in its half of the second inning.
Chris Miller led off the inning with a walk before
Jackson Hower doubled to put two runners in scoring position.
Axel Riess recorded the first out of the inning but was able to score Miller on a groundout to make it a 3-1 game.

Both teams were quiet in the third inning as each starting pitcher recorded a one, two, three inning.

In the fourth, the Bulldogs' bats once again came to life as they plated four runs on four hits to take a 7-1 lead over the Big Green.

Neither team was able to generate much offensively through the fifth, sixth and seventh innings, but Yale found a way to score in the eighth.

It added three more runs on three hits, two walks, and an error, to take a 10- lead over the Big Green.

Dartmouth put two runners on in the bottom of the ninth.
Camden Rush and
Stefan Di Corrado each recorded singles, but Yale held on to defeat the Big Green, 10-1.

Bryce Loeger made the start on the mound. He gave up seven runs, six earned on eight hits in four innings. He did fan five batters, matching his season and career high.

Danny Will pitched the next three innings of relief for the Big Green. Three runs scored, none earned, on two hits.

Joseph Chambers finished the game, pitching a scoreless two innings. He allowed four hits and fanned three.

With two losses against the Yale Bulldogs Sunday, the Big Green's 2025 season comes to a close. Dartmouth wraps its season 11-25 overall and 8-13 against Ivy League opponents. The Big Green were also 8-5 at home, the first time being over .500 at Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park since 2022.
