NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – On Wednesday, the Big Green traveled to Merrimack for their final road game of the regular season. Despite a scoreless game into the seventh inning, the Big Green were able to plate five runs but couldn't hang on as the Warriors earned the walk-off victory over the Big Green, 6-5.

With the loss, the Big Green fall to 11-22 overall.

Through six innings, the two teams combined for only four hits, three for the Warriors and one for the Big Green. There was no lack of base runners though as Dartmouth drew six walks and Merrimack three and a hit by pitch. Starters and relief pitchers on both sides were able to get out of trouble though, keeping the game knotted at two headed into the seventh inning.

The Big Green led off the final third of the game with a walk and a single, putting two runners on with no outs. Runners advanced on a sacrifice fly before
Axel Riess singled to give the Big Green a 1-0 lead.

Taer Rodriguez, the next batter for the Big Green, drove in two more runs with a single to left field, forcing a Warriors pitching change.

Stefan Di Corrado drew a walk before
Ethan Brown stepped up to the plate with two outs, ripping a double to score two more runs and give the Big Green a 5-0 lead.

The exciting seventh inning continued in the bottom half, as the Warriors plated four runs on five hits and a walk to pull themselves back within one run.
Dartmouth had a chance to extend its lead in the eighth and add an insurance run but the runner was tagged out at the plate, keeping it a 5-4 game in favor of the Big Green.

The Warriors had an opportunity of their own in the eighth inning, loading the bases on two walks and a hit by pitch but with two outs, they were unable to capitalize.

In the ninth, Di Corrado doubled and Brown was intentionally walked but it remained a 5-4 game.

Merrimack drew a walk and earned a base hit before a wild pitch on a walk allowed the tying run to score. The third walk of the inning loaded the bases and a Warriors' pinch hitter knocked a single to score the tying run, capping off the victory and snapping Dartmouth's four game win streak.

Andrew Lombana got the start for the Big Green, allowing three hits in four scoreless innings, his third scoreless appearance of the season.

Joseph Chambers pitched the next inning, dealing three walks but keeping the Warriors off the board.

Jeff Lee and
Trey Sejnoha pitched the next 1.1 innings. The pair allowed five hits, and each gave up two runs.

Kyle Klaric-Schell continued to impress out of the bullpen, pitching his third straight scoreless outing. The first-year dealt two walks and fanned four without allowing a hit in his 1.2 innings of relief.

Matt Carey pitched the final inning for the Big Green, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks.

The Big Green will have this weekend off from Ivy League play before playing their final nonconference game of the regular season back at Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park against Stonehill.
Dartmouth will then welcome the Yale Bulldogs for the final series of the 2025 season. The Big Green currently sit in fifth place in the Ivy League standings, one game out of fourth place, the final spot in the 2025 Ivy League Tournament. The Bulldogs have clinched a spot in the tournament but are playing for the ability to host the tournament.

Following the season finale, the Big Green will host Kids Run the Bases as well as post-game autographs.
