HANOVER, N.H. — The Woods Watch Party returns for its 10th and final week with the re-airing of the Dartmouth football game against Princeton at Memorial Field that concluded the 2015 season. The game will be streamed on the Dartmouth Football YouTube channel on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m.
The Big Green entered the season finale five years ago in a three-way tie atop the Ivy League with Harvard and Penn as all three had 5-1 records. If any of the three teams faltered in the last game of the season, they would be denied a share of the title. And conversely, each team that won their final contest would earn at least a coveted share of the crown.
Dartmouth had recent history on its side having defeated the Tigers in the previous five meetings. The Big Green defense was formidable, leading the nation in fewest points allowed (10.1) while ranking in the top five against the run and in total defense. The offense was no slouch, either, with the program's all-time leading passer behind center in Dalyn Williams '16 guiding the team to 30 points a game.
Joining host Tyler Murray to discuss the game and their Dartmouth experience will be a a pair of lineman, one from each side of the ball — offensive lineman Jacob Flores '16 and nose guard A.J. Zuttah '16 — along with Buddy Teevens, the Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach.
A religion major from Arlington, Texas, Flores started every game over the final three years of his career, was a two-time All-Ivy League performer (second team as a junior tackle and first team as a senior center) and a member of the Division I All-New England Team as a senior. He was also twice recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on the Academic All-District I Team, plus was an FCS ADA Academic All-Star and earned Academic All-Ivy League status in the fall of 2015. He went on to sign an undrafted free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers and served as a practice player for the team.
Zuttah, an economics major hailing from Edison, New Jersey, twice was named to the All-Ivy League First Team and the Division I All-New England squad. He did not miss a game in his four-year career, starting every contest during his final three seasons, and after ranking third among all Ancient Eight linemen with 48 tackles as a junior, he led them the following year with 44 more. Zuttah ended his standout collegiate career with 134 tackles, 11.5 for a loss, 5.0 sacks, three fumble recoveries, two blocked kicks, one forced fumble and 14 pass deflections.
