EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Dartmouth men's basketball assistant coach Eamonn Kearney has been named to Silver Waves Media's 2026 Most Impactful/Influential Mid Major Assistant Coaches list, the media company announced.
Now in its eighth year, the annual list recognizes standout assistants in mid-major men's basketball. Honorees are selected after consultation with a panel of industry professionals, and many past selections have gone on to become Division I head coaches.
Kearney joined the Big Green staff in April 2026, his fourth college coaching stop. He spent the previous two seasons at Air Force, where as recruiting coordinator he helped sign Kam Sanders, the program's freshman scoring and assists record holder, and Lucas Hobin, its freshman three-point record holder.
In 2023-24, Kearney was Princeton's video coordinator on a staff that included MacConnell. That team went 24-5, won the Ivy League regular-season title and reached the NIT. He began his coaching career at Kenyon College, where he spent five seasons as an assistant. During that time the Owls posted their best non-conference record since 1996, and Kearney helped recruit and develop five All-NCAC selections.
A native of Toms River, New Jersey, Kearney played at Drew University, where he was a team captain, and graduated in 2018 with a degree in English.
