Charpentier Named ECAC Defender of the Week

DANBURY, Conn.—ECAC Hockey announced its weekly awards on Monday. Dartmouth defensemen Eric Charpentier has been named the ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week following Dartmouth's 2-0 opening weekend.
He opened the season against Stonehill by scoring his eighth career goal on a one-timer in the third period to give Dartmouth a 5-1 lead. On Sunday, he notched his fourth career multi-point game. He notched a secondary assist on the second Dartmouth goal that was the eventual game winning goal. He closed out scoring for the Big Green as he beat the Yale netminder five hole with a wrist shot.
It is the first time in his career that he has earned an ECAC weekly award. The Big Green are back at Thompson Arena on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 PM as Colgate travels to Hanover for an ECAC Hockey matchup. The following day, the Big Green and Cornell Big Red renew their rivalry at 7 PM.
