HANOVER, N.H. –The Dartmouth women's soccer team had its first Ivy League loss of the season on Saturday evening, falling 2-0 to Princeton at Burnham Field.
The Big Green were dominant in the first 45 minutes, outshooting their opponent 9-2 with three shots on goal. In the first half, Ola Goebel tabbed two saves while Princeton's Sydney Romano made three.
Entering the second half, the Tigers had an offensive spark that allowed them to outshoot the Big Green 6-4. Dylan Jovanic and Alexandra Barry connected with Maddie Recupero to put Princeton on the board in the 53rd minute. Princeton finalized the score in the 62nd minute when Julia Johnson scored a goal off a corner kick by Drew Coomans.
The Big Green will finish out its non-conference schedule on Tuesday when they travel to face UAlbany at 6:30 p.m.
