HANOVER, N.H. ? Dartmouth College Director of Athletics and Recreation Josie Harper announced today that head men's lacrosse coach
Bill Wilson has resigned.
“Bill has worked tirelessly on behalf of our student-athletes and lacrosse program, and has been a loyal and dedicated coach. I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors,” Harper said.
Wilson completed his sixth season with the Big Green on Saturday with an 8-5 loss to Harvard. This season, Dartmouth finished with a 4-11 overall record and 1-5 mark in the Ivy League. During his tenure at Dartmouth, Wilson compiled a 40-44 record, including a 15-21 mark in the Ivy League. Wilson had previously served as an assistant coach at Cornell, Hofstra and Princeton.
A national search for Wilson's successor will begin immediately.
