PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Senior Brad Heritage (Cheshire, Conn.) and junior Nick Bonacci (Crofton, Md.) each scored four goals, leading the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team to a 14-6 victory over Brown on Saturday.
The Big Green led from start to finish, and built an 11-1 lead early in the fourth quarter, denying the Bears for most of the game.
Bonacci and Heritage scored in the first quarter and the Big Green held a 7-1 lead after two periods as Heritage potted all four of his in the first 30 minutes.
Bonacci also helped kick off Dartmouth's fast start with two of his four in the first half. After three quarters, the lead went to 10-1 on Bonacci's other two goals as well as sophomore Ryan Orr's (Great Falls, Va.) second of two on the afternoon.
The Bears, 2-9 overall and 0-4 in the Ivy League, had five goals in the fourth quarter, including two by Mike Cohen 28 seconds apart.
Also helping Dartmouth offensively were sophomore Tim Daniels (Duxbury, Mass.) with two goals and sophomore Will Boardman (Brattleboro, Vt.) who scored the first of his varsity career. Senior Jamie Coffin (Greenwich, Conn.) had one goal and two assists.
In the nets, freshman Pat Marshall (Lutherville, Md.) made eight saves for Dartmouth, playing the opening 49:55. Senior Andrew Mayer (Hingham, Mass.) made one stop in the final 10:05.
The Big Green, 6-6 overall and 2-2 in the Ivy League, takes on Princeton on Saturday, April 29. The 1 p.m. game is scheduled for Dartmouth's Scully-Fahey Field and will be televised by CSTV.
