FARMINGTON, Conn. -- The Dartmouth men's golf team posted its lowest 36-hole score in five years, grabbing second place at the ECAC Fall Championship last weekend.
The Big Green combined for 578, finishing three shots behind Monmouth in the 10-team field.
The last time Dartmouth went that low was September 23-24, 2000, when the Big Green was fourth at the Dartmouth Invitational with 577.
Junior Matt Uretsky (Linwood, N.J.) was the low finisher for the Big Green, firing 74-69--143, good for a tie for sixth. One shot back was senior co-captain Chaki Kobayashi (Newington, Conn.) with 71-73--144.
Rounding out the Dartmouth scoring were sophomore Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.), 72-75--147; freshman Alexander Olshonsky (North Bethesda, Md.), 73-74--147; senior co-captain Kenan Yount (Augusta, Ga.), 81-72--153; and freshman Alexander Abate (Martinez, Ga.), 82-77--159.
