PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—The Dartmouth men's tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss to Penn on Saturday.

Doubles

Henry Ren and Miles Groom played in second doubles and fell 6-4 in the first match of the day.

Yujiro Onuma and Waleed Qadir had the same fate in first doubles as Penn took the doubles point.

Denny Bao and Alex Knox-Jones were in a tight third singles match as they trailed 6-5 when the match was stopped.

Singles

Carlos Guerrero Alvarez played in first singles for the Big Green. The senior fell in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 as Penn took a 2-0 lead.

Penn took their third point of the match in fourth singles as Groom fell 6-4, 6-1.

Knox-Jones fell in fifth singles as Penn took the match. The first set was a back and forth set as Knox-Jones fell 7-6. Knox-Jones could not force a third set as he fell 6-2.

Hikaru Takeda was in a back and forth second singles match when the match ended. He fell 7-6 in the first set but led 4-3 in the second set.

Ren played third singles was looking to extend his match. He fell 7-5 in the first set and was trailing 5-3 in the second set.

Onuma was in the third set of his sixth singles match. He fell 6-3 in the first set but forced a third set with a 6-4 win in the second set. Only game was played in the third set when the match ended.

The Big Green now travel to Princeton to take on the Tigers on Sunday. First serve is set for 1 PM in New Jersey.
