HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's hockey team increased their current unbeaten streak to nine games tonight, as they knocked off ECAC opponent Quinnipiac, 7-0, at Thompson Arena.

The Big Green didn't wait too long before getting on the board when Katie Weatherston (Thunder Bay, Ont.) picked up a rebound to beat Bobcats goalie Laura Brennan early in the first.

Dartmouth continued their relentless pressure through the first which led to a Sarah Parsons (Dover, Mass.) goal, making it a quick, 2-0. The assists on Parsons tally was given to Shannon Bowman (Leamington, Ont.).

Just three minutes later, senior Caroline Ethier (Matagami, Que.) continued her goal streak, as she netted her seventh goal in five games, with an assist going to line mate Nicole Ruta (Pickering, Ont.).

Captain Gillian Apps (Unionville, Ont.) also extended her point streak in the final minutes of the first when she took a pass from Parsons and lit the lamp past Brennan for her first mark of the night.

The Big Green out shot Quinnipiac, 22-3, in the opening period, forcing the Bobcats to make a goalie change to start the second.

Janelle Wolitski looked as though she may have been the difference maker for the Bobcats, as she turned away all nine shots Dartmouth attempted. Quinnipiac only recorded four shots on goal, but all were denied by freshman Mariel Lacina (London, Ont.), who saw her first live action of the season after replacing Carli Clemis (Taber, Alta.) to start the second period.

Dartmouth picked up where they left off in the first period late in the third. After bombarding Wolitski with shots in the final stanza, Jenna Cunningham (Medicine Hat, Alta.) finally snuck one past the line on a power play. Ethier and Maggie Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn.) were credited with assists on Cunningham's goal, which gave Dartmouth a commanding, 5-0, lead.

Not three minutes later, Bowman buried a shot past Wolitski for her fifth goal of the season, increasing Dartmouth's lead to 6-0.

Just for good measure, Apps notched her second of the game, and 26^th of the season, with just 20 ticks left on the game clock, as she took a long pass from Parsons and wristed a shot past Wolitski finishing off the game and giving the Big Green a , 7-0, win.

Dartmouth now moves to 13-3-1 overall, and 11-1-0 in ECAC play, while Quinnipiac falls to 3-9-0 in the ECAC's.

The Big Green will be back in action again tomorrow night as they host No. 10 ranked Princeton at Thompson Arena. Puck drops at 4:00 p.m.
