PORTSMITH, R.I. – The Dartmouth women's golf team finished fourth in the Brown Bear Match Play Tournament competing against three Ivy League schools in a final tune up before the Ivy League Championship.
In day one of the tournament, the Big Green squared off with Ivy League foe Penn, where the Quakers defeated Dartmouth 7-1. Freshman Hana Bradshaw scored the only victory of the day over Penn's No. 8 golfer. With the victory, the Quakers moved on to play Princeton for the title, while the Big Green took on Brown to decide the battle for third place.
On Sunday, Dartmouth fell to the Bears 5-3 to finish fourth. Junior Tara Simmons and freshman Catharine Roddy each recorded points for the Big Green at the par 71 course. The Tigers took home the hardware defeating Penn 4.5 to 3.5 in the championship round.
Dartmouth returns to the links next weekend for the Ivy League Championship which begins on Friday in Greenwich, Connecticut.
