PISCATAWAY, N.J. ? The Dartmouth men's basketball team carried a lead deep into the second half, but the Scarlet Knights escaped with the 55-50 win over the Big Green at the Rutgers Athletic Center on Tuesday night.
“We played hard,” said head coach Terry Dunn. “In the first half we hit our shots, but in the second we couldn't put enough in the basket. I'm proud of our effort, but we came up short.”

The lead for Rutgers didn't last long as Dartmouth finished the half on an impressive 18-4 run, highlighted by two 3-pointers from senior Michael Ginovacchini (Salt Lake City, Utah) and three-point plays from Barnett and junior DeVon Mosley (Mesquite, Texas). The Big Green took a 30-21 lead into the locker room.
