LAWRENCE, KAN. – Sophomore DeVon Mosley (Mesquite, Texas) tied a game-high 13 points, but couldn't lead the Big Green men's basketball team past the fifth ranked Kansas Jayhawks, as the Dartmouth squad fell 83-32.
The Big Green struggled out of the gates, being held to 13 points in the first half for the second game in a row. Kansas, coming off a thrilling win over then ranked No. 1 Florida, stormed through the Big Green off the tip.
Nine Kansas players scored in the first half, giving the Jayhawks a 40-13 lead going into the break. Leading the way for the Crimson and Blue was Brandon Rush who went into the lockerroom with nine points and three rebounds.
A rejuvenated Big Green team came out of the halftime talk armed for a comeback, but again the Jayhawks brought it strong to the undermanned Dartmouth team.
Mosley shined for the Big Green putting up 13 points and grabbing four rebounds, as well as having three steals.
Mosley's 13 points tied the game high with two Kansas players. Both Darrell Arthur and Darnell Jackson provided 13 for the Jayhawks who ran away with the contest in the second half.
With the loss the Big Green remain winless in their first six games, while the Jayhawks improve to 6-1 on their season.
Dartmouth won't tip off again until Dec. 10, when they travel to James Madison for another non-conference game. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
