Dartmouth Jayvee Football Falls to Milford

HANOVER, N.H. -- Despite two touchdown runs by sophomore quarterback Tom Bennewitz (Weston, Conn.), the Dartmouth jayvee football team lost to Milford, 28-17, on Friday.
After Milford returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, Dartmouth answered when Bennewitz scored on a one-yard keeper at the midway point of the first quarter.
On the last play of the second half, Bennewitz was flushed out of the pocket and scampered in from eight yards out. He went airborne over two Milford players for the last two yards as the Pea Green led, 14-13, at the half.
In the third period, Milford took the lead at 28-14, before Dartmouth's Andy Kempler (Westport, Conn.) added a field goal to finish the scoring.
The jayvees play at Harvard on Friday, October 28. Kickoff is 2 p.m.
