WEST POINT, N.Y. – Dartmouth women’s rugby was second at West Point All-Academy 7s Tournament on Saturday, taking down Army’s developmental squad, AIC and Harvard before falling to the host in the final.

Freshman Lilly Durbin had a good day, ending up with six tries and six conversions for a total of 42 points, while junior Camille Johnson scored two tries and had one conversion for 12 points and classmate Kat Ramage had two tries for 10.

“I am so proud of how the team came together today, particularly our connection and teamwork on defense,” head coach Katie Dowty said. “The work rate was relentless and we figured out when and where to channel our effort. Everyone fought until the final whistle and continued to push and make gains in those final minutes, which the scoreboard can’t always reflect.”

Dartmouth awaits the bid announcement for the USA Rugby Collegiate 7s Championship, which will take place in Glendale, Colorado, on May 19.
