GLENDALE, Colo. – Dartmouth women’s rugby went 1-2 on the first day of the 2018 Rugby 7s National Championship at Infinity Park Saturday. 

The Big Green started the day with a 19-5 loss to Penn State before rebounding to take down Central Washington (29-14), a team they fell to at last year’s nationals. Dartmouth’s third match was a 34-7 loss to Lindenwood. 

In the first two matches, Camille Johnson led with her two tries, while Idia Ihensehkien, Rachel Hand, Frankie Sands and Milla Anderson had one try apiece. Kat Ramage had two conversions and Anderson had one of her own.

The championship will continue on Sunday. Teams from Pool A (Dartmouth, Penn State, CWU, Lindenwood) will play those in Pool B (Harvard, Army, Davenport, Life University) in semifinal and final matches.
