Dartmouth women’s rugby has a packed weekend ahead at the 2018 USA Rugby Women’s 7s National Championship in Glendale, Colorado.
Infinity Park plays host to the top men’s and women’s collegiate programs for three days, with champions being crowned across four divisions.
Pool play for the women’s Division I entrants will begin at 9 a.m. local (11 a.m. EST) on Saturday. The top two teams from each pool will compete for the Cup, while the lower two will play for the Bowl, which will take place on Sunday.
Dartmouth is in Pool A along with the three teams it will be playing throughout the day on Saturday. Pool B consists of Harvard, Army, Davenport and Life University.
The Big Green concluded the regular season with an 18-2 mark, winning all five of their matches at both Brown and Ivy 7s. Dartmouth went 4-1 the following two weeks at Bowdoin and Army.
This is the second season in a row that the Green have made it nationals; in 2017, they defeated Penn State in the quarterfinal, but fell to Life in the semifinal and Central Washington in the bronze medal game.
