GLENDALE, Colo. – The Dartmouth women's rugby team fell in the Bronze Medal Game of the 2017 USA Rugby College 7s National Championship Sunday to Central Washington.
The Big Green reached the semifinals after dispatching 7s powerhouse Penn State, 20-14, in the quarterfinals. Dartmouth however dropped the semifinal game to Life University, 33-10, before eventually falling to CWU, 31-0, in the game to determine the third-place finisher.
Lindenwood would go on to beat Life, 31-12, to win the 7s national championship on Sunday afternoon.
Dartmouth finished pool play with a 2-1 record, having beaten Montana State, 36-12, and UC Davis, 19-12. The Green's lone blemish in pool play was a 31-0 loss to the eventual champion Lions in the final game of pool play between two unbeaten teams.
