HANOVER, N.H. — The NCAA announced that Dartmouth Senior Associate AD for Peak Performance (DP2) Drew Galbraith has been appointed chair of the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Committee for a second consecutive year starting Sept. 1, 2015.

“The past three years on this committee have been a wonderful experience and I have been fortunate to work with talented and passionate coaches, administrators and NCAA staffers in supporting Division I men’s soccer,” commented Galbraith. “It is humbling to be selected by my peers to lead this group for a second year, and we are all looking forward to a tremendous season and this year’s College Cup in Kansas City.”

Entering his 12th year in Hanover, Galbraith arrived as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Administration and filled additional roles before being named Senior Associate Athletics Director in 2008. He has overseen the student services areas since his arrival.

“Drew did an outstanding job leading the men’s soccer committee this past year, and I look forward to his continued leadership,” said Ryan Tressel, NCAA Assistant Director of Championships, “Drew offers unique perspectives and a great knowledge of the game, which continues to be invaluable to the committee as they continue to provide a top level championship experience for the student-athletes.”

In 2011, Galbraith transitioned into the head of Dartmouth Peak Performance, where he coordinates programs designed to position student-athletes to achieve the highest levels of physical, intellectual and personal growth during their Dartmouth career. Galbraith also serves as a liaison to health professionals who work with Dartmouth student-athletes, including Dartmouth Health Services and physicians from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

This will be Galbraith's 15th year of NCAA Committee service with previous stints on the NCAA Skiing Committee, the NCAA Administration Cabinet and NCAA AEC Cabinet. After starting his professional career in media relations and broadcasting at William & Mary then Virginia Commonwealth, Galbraith completed stints in compliance at both William & Mary and Nebraska Omaha.

He earned both his B.A. (1995) and J.D. (2002) from the College of William & Mary.
