Hanover, NH – This past winter, Dartmouth student-athletes wholeheartedly accepted the C.A.R.E. challenge to connect with the greater Dartmouth community. The C.A.R.E. challenge was put forth at the beginning of the fall to encourage student-athletes to meaningfully engage with others, to lead through Compassion, Action, Respect, and Education. Measured not through hours of service, but rather through relationships built, Dartmouth student-athletes are continuing to embrace what makes Dartmouth so special: our community. Below are some snapshots of Big Green student-athletes in the community!

Men's and women's lacrosse players went on their third annual service-learning trip to Nicaragua this winter break. The players partnered with two non-profits, Bridges to Community and Lacrosse the Nations, during the nine-day trip to construct a school kitchen, play lacrosse with youngsters in the community, learn about Nicaraguan culture, and ultimately expand their worldview.
