The snow is still on the ground in Northern New England so the Big Green have hit the road for a few days of spring action. Seniors Michael Ketchmark and Taylor Ng have been helping the baseball and women's tennis team respectively. Ketchmark batted an even .500 in a four game series with The Citadel. Ng went undefeated in wins over San Diego and San Diego State.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week.

Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Taylor Ng, Sr., Haddonfield, N.J., Women's Tennis

No. 37 Dartmouth women’s tennis opened its Spring Break trip in California by defeating San Diego (4-3) and San Diego State (5-2). Taylor Ng went undefeated, winning both of her singles matches at the No. 1 position in two sets and, playing alongside Kristina Mathis, won both matches at No. 1 doubles.

Michael Ketchmark, Sr., Dallas, Texas, 1B, Baseball

Senior Michael Ketchmark hit an even .500 in a four-game series at The Citadel last week, collecting at least one hit in every game and matching a career high with four knocks in the series-ending, 10-9 victory. The first baseman from Dallas, Texas, stroked a pair of doubles while scoring four runs and driving in three, plus posted an on-base percentage of .550 and a slugging percentage of .611 to help the Big Green split the four games with the Bulldogs. Ten games into the season, the Dartmouth clean-up hitter is batting .405 and leads the team in runs (9), total bases (26) and slugging (.619).
