Dartmouth had 16 of its 24 NCAA-sponsored teams post a perfect 100 percent GSR, while its non-NCAA-sponsored sports all achieved a 100 percent rate as well.
The Ivy League also had a strong showing with all eight schools in the top 25 and six in the top 11.
The NCAA’s Graduation Success Rate includes transfer students and student-athletes who leave in good academic standing. The GSR measures graduation over six years from first-time college enrollment.
In addition to the GSR, the NCAA also releases another set of data, the Academic Progress Rate (APR), to measure the academic performance and retention of each team. Athletic programs that score in the top 10 percent of their sports are honored with APR Public Recognition Awards. For those programs that do not meet the threshold, they are subject to penalties such as postseason bans and loss of scholarships. Last spring, Dartmouth College was ranked in the top 10 percent in 19 NCAA-sponsored sports.
