High Point Rider and game-winning goal scorer - This is the magic combination to lead the Big Green this past weekend. Sophomore Olivia Champ led the equestrian team to wins at UNH and Endicott. Senior Troy Crema scored the game-winning goal in the hockey's team's opening win over Michigan.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week.

Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Olivia Champ, So., La Canada, Calif., Equestrian

Champ was part of a pair of Dartmouth wins this weekend at shows hosted by UNH and Endicott. In the second show of the weekend on Sunday, Champ not only helped the team to a title, but did so in style. Champ was the High Point Rider of the day at Endicott thanks to first-place showings in her class of Open Fences as well as Open Flat.

Troy Crema, Sr., Toronto, Ontario, F, Men’s Hockey

Crema played the hero in Dartmouth’s 3-2 season-opening win against No. 11 Michigan Saturday night at a packed Thompson Arena. The senior finished off a great passing play from line mates Carl Hesler and Corey Kalk to net the game winner with just 49 seconds left. Crema’s first goal of the season helped the Green and White to a victory in a season opener for the first time since 2011 and was the third win over a top-15 team in the last four games for Dartmouth, dating back to the end of last season.
