HANOVER, N.H. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has recognized Dartmouth and 15 individuals from this year’s team for their work in the classroom this year.
Once again, the Big Green were honored as one of a handful of teams from across Division I with the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic
Team Award. To be included, teams must achieve a collective grade point average of 3.0 or higher over the course of the season.
All eight Ivy League teams were included on the list for the 2017 campaign.
Additionally, 15 members of this fall’s team were named to the 2017 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, an improvement of four for the Green and White, who had 11 players selected last year. To be considered, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher through the first semester.
Dartmouth’s 15 individuals recognized with a spot on this year’s academic team were: Amrit Ahluwalia, Gemma Bautista, Evie Bird, Carmen Braceras, Lia Constantine, Bee Hollyer, Kira Koehler, Jensen Palmer, Katie Persin, Morgan Philie, Katie Spanos, Hailey Valerio, Jessica Valvano, Emily Wechsler, Jocelyn Wulf.
