HANOVER, N.H. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has recognized Dartmouth and 11 individuals from this year’s team for their work in the classroom this year.

Once again, the Big Green were honored as one of a handful of teams from across Division I with the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award. To be included, teams must achieve a collective grade point average of 3.0 or higher over the course of the season.

All eight Ivy League teams were included on the list for the 2016 campaign.

Additionally, 11 members of this fall’s team were named to the 2016 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. To be considered, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher through the first semester.

Dartmouth’s 11 individuals recognized with a spot on this year’s academic team were: Amrit Ahluwalia, Carmen Braceras, Paige Duffy, Katie Persin, Morgan Philie, Emma Plumb, Maggie Sherin, Katie Spanos, Sarah Tabeek, Hailey Valerio and Heather Zezzo.

For Zezzo, this marked her fourth straight year on the list, achieving the recognition each year as a member of the Big Green.
