HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth freshman goalkeeper Emma Plumb ’20 has been named to the 2016-17 U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team by USA Field Hockey.
Plumb joins the group of individuals who will represent the United States at the upcoming 2017 International Rohrmax Cup in Vienna, Austria. The tournament is scheduled to be held Jan. 4-9.
“It’s very exciting to have Emma represent the US at this major Indoor event,” head coach Amy Fowler said. “It’s important for our American-born players to get international exposure to the game of hockey, and for Emma to be able to experience it after her rookie season, is even better.
“This is great for her, for our program at Dartmouth and for the Ivy League,” Fowler added.
Plumb joins the ranks of Virginia Peisch ’11 and Kelly Hood ’12, who were both silver medalists for the US Women’s Indoor National Team at the 2008 Indoor Pan-American Cup in Argentina.
