BOSTON, Mass. – No. 20 Dartmouth women’s rowing won all four of its races against Boston College, the University of Rhode Island and Bates on the Charles River Saturday. The Big Green and the Bobcats rowed as guests, while URI won the Resolute Cup for the 12th year in a row.
“We were excited to win every race this weekend, especially after several last-minute lineup changes,” head coach Wendy Bordeau said. “I’m proud of our entire team’s progress so far this season.”
Dartmouth won the first varsity with a time of 6:55.48. Coxed by Katie Erdos and stroked by Sabrina Bohrer, the Green finished ahead of URI (7:09.21), Bates (7:12.36) and BC (7:23.49). It was a similar story in the second varsity, which saw Dartmouth (7:11.89) finish almost 10 seconds ahead of BC (7:21.47) in second.
The Big Green’s varsity 4A completed the 2,000-meter course with a time of 8:06.47, leaving a large gap between them and the Eagles (8:26.38) and the Rams (8:34.93). In the third varsity, Dartmouth (7:20.99) finished all 20 seconds ahead of Bates (7:40.43).
Senior captain Simone Framson said “it’s especially exciting to come away with decisive wins in all crews. Today’s races showed just how hard we’re working across the entire team.”
Next Saturday, Dartmouth will host its only home event of the season, taking on Cornell for the Parents’ Cup.
