CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Dartmouth women’s rowing team competed in their final race of the fall, the Foot of the Charles, on Saturday afternoon. The Big Green entered five boats in the event.
“Racing today – for the last time this fall – sets us up well to strengthen our resolve for working hard and remaining dedicated over the fall break,” head coach Linda Muri said. “The next time the team comes together will be our December training trip to Florida, which will set the tone for the spring racing season.”
Dartmouth’s A boat – stroked by Sabrina Bohrer and coxed by Katie Erdos – finished highest, taking fifth (21.28.1) and leaving four seconds between it and Northeastern’s boat. The Green also bettered their results against Boston University, which was seventh (21.33.9).
Finishing next was Dartmouth’s B crew, which was stroked by Kate Griffiths and coxed by Jacqueline McInerney and took 11th (22:05.3). The C boat was 18th (23:28.9), while the D crew finished in 21st place (24:23.5).
The Big Green entered just one boat in the Novice 8+, placing 11th (15:48.7), leaving a full minute between it and Rhode Island.
Dartmouth will return to the water in April.
