CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After earning a fifth and 13th-place on the first day of the Head of the Charles on Saturday, the Dartmouth women’s rowing team returned to the water on Sunday for the Championship 8+.
The Big Green finished in 23rd place (18:19.94), completing the course eight tenths of a second behind Boston University (18:19.14), but leaving over five seconds between it and Drexel in 24th (18:25.87). The Big Green – stroked by Sabrina Bohrer and coxed by Katie Erdos – were 17 seconds behind the Terriers at the Weld Boathouse almost two miles into the race (10:18.1), but by the time they passed the Cambridge Boat Club five minutes later, they had significantly closed the gap (15:27.65).
Dartmouth will race in the Princeton Chase next Sunday, Oct.30.
