PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Former Dartmouth men’s squash player and assistant coach, Chris Hanson, defended his title and won the S.L. Green U.S. Men’s Championship at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, taking down the same opponent he faced last year.

Hanson took down Andrew Douglas, who is now a freshman at Penn, in four games, 11-8, 11-4, 8-11 and 11-5, coming back to take the fourth game after falling in the third. He is the sixth American player to repeat national titles since the transition to softball, and it is the second win for a former Big Green in the singles category.

The title win comes at the end of a successful season for Hanson who reached a career-high PSA world ranking of No. 63 in the beginning of March.
