HARTFORD, Conn. – On Tuesday afternoon, the No. 10 Dartmouth men’s squash team traveled to face No. 1 Trinity and left with the third loss of the season, 9-0, as Dartmouth moves to 6-3 on the season.

In the first round, freshman James Bell pushed his Bantam opponent to all four corners but could not convert the match and lost 3-0. Junior Sam Eply fell in a 3-0 sweep and sophomore Matt Giegerich looked like he might work some magic after leading 2-1, but lost closely in the fifth game.

The second round saw junior Carson Spahr lose in four games, sophomore Brandon De Otaduy Nam was swept 3-0 and sophomore Drew Monroe was unable to finish after sustaining an injury in his match. 

In the last round Toby Harding hit hard against his opponent but fell in three games. Captains Jack Harvey and Alvin Heumann both lost 3-0 as Trinity held strong in its home courts. 

The Big Green men return to action at home, hosting Drexel on Saturday, January 27.
