HANOVER, N.H. – Head coach Bob Gaudet '81 has announced the schedule for his Dartmouth men's hockey team and the upcoming 2017-18 season.

The regular season schedule features the usual 29 games with 15 inside the familiar confines of Thompson Arena. The Big Green will head out on the road for 14 games, including three against non-conference opponents.

The first of those three non-conference games is actually the 2017-18 opener as Dartmouth heads to Worcester to take on Holy Cross on Friday, Oct. 27. The road swing to begin the season continues two days later as the Big Green take on defending Ivy League and ECAC Hockey Champion as well as 2017 Frozen Four participant Harvard on Sunday, Oct. 29 in Cambridge.

Dartmouth begins its home slate against Brown and Yale on Nov. 3-4, the first of the 15 home dates on the schedule.

November and December feature several non-conference games before the Green and White get into the full swing of ECAC Hockey play in January. Games with Vermont the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 25) as well as with Bentley (Dec. 9) mark the final two home games of the first half of the season. The Big Green will close out the first half with a two-game road trip to take on the defending national champion from Denver on Dec. 15-16 in the Mile High City.

The 29th Annual Ledyard Classic is set to take place Dec. 29-30 at Thompson with one of the best fields in recent memory. Dartmouth will take on in-state rival New Hampshire the first night before playing the 2017 national runners-up from Minnesota Duluth the next evening. ECAC and Ivy rival Yale is the fourth team in the field and will alternate Dartmouth's opponents, playing the Bulldogs and Wildcats in the afternoon both days.

The Ledyard Classic begins a six-game homestand that will include games against Union (Jan. 5), RPI (Jan. 6), Quinnipiac (Jan. 12) and the highly anticipated matchup with Princeton (Jan. 13).

In all, the Green will play five games against three of this past season's Frozen Four teams and nine against teams who reached the NCAA Tournament in 2017.
