HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth senior Troy Crema has been named to the 2017 Men’s Hockey All-Ivy League First Team as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

Crema — a native of Toronto — put together his best collegiate season in 2016-17, setting career highs in goals (17) and points (29) and is just two shy of last season’s 14 assists.

No other Ivy player had a knack for scoring big goals this winter as Crema’s five total game winners were the most of any Ancient Eight skater. In 10 Ivy games, Crema registered 12 points (6-6-12), tied with Yale’s Joe Snively for second behind only the Player of the Year Ryan Donato (5-11-16).

Crema’s six Ivy goals ranked fifth, while his six helpers were eighth.

This marks the second straight year that Dartmouth has had a player on the league’s first team after Jack Barre ’16 was a member of the 2015-16 first team. Alexander Kerfoot and Merrick Madsen of Harvard are the only two players to have been recognized last season and again this year as both are on the first team in 2016-17 after second-team and honorable mention recognition last winter.
