HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth saw four members of this year's team named recipients of 2017 Ivy Equestrian Awards Tuesday afternoon.

Seniors Meg Rauner and Storey Dyer Kloman, junior Claire Bick and sophomore Olivia Champ were recognized with individual accolades for the 2016-17 campaign.

Rauner earned her distinctions in Intermediate Flat and Novice Fences. She was a captain this season and a valuable member of the team the past four years. Rauner was in Walk-Trot-Canter her first year and was a point rider in every competition, including with a team that won the Regional and Zone Champion titles and placed 10th at Nationals. She was the Zone I, Region 2 Champion this year in Novice Flat and the Zone I Reserve Champion, earning her a return spot at Nationals. While there, Meg was the National Reserve Champion in Novice Flat.

Bick was a winner in Open Flat and Novice Fences. The junior had a great year qualifying, showing as the Intermediate Flat point rider for the start of the season and then qualifying for Regionals before finishing the year showing in Open Flat and Novice Fences. Bick was Zone I, Region 2 Reserve Champion, while the Reserve Champion at the Zone I finals that qualified her for Nationals.  At Nationals, she was the National Reserve Champion in Intermediate Flat. A team co-captain for the past two years, she was nominated for the USHJA Sportsmanship Award.

Champ was recognized in Open Flat and Fences. After finishing as Reserve Champion last year in our Region's Cacchione Cup standings, she swept the blue ribbons to finish this year as the Zone I, Region 2 Cacchione Cup Champion. Champ also easily qualified in both flat and fences individually, but was abroad this spring so was unable to compete in Regionals or Zones. However she flew back from Rome to compete at Nationals in the Cacchione Cup competition. Olivia finished 12th at the National Championships in said competition.

Dyer Kloman claimed honors in Novice Flat and Intermediate Fences. The senior had a phenomenal year and was the team's Novice Flat and Fences point rider in nearly all of the competitions. She was the Regional Novice Fences Champion and placed sixth at Zones. At the Ivy Championships in late April, she placed first in Novice Flat, earning the individual event crown, while also claiming second in Intermediate Fences and third in the Intermediate Fences Championship.

Additionally, 16 members of the team were honored for their work in the classroom with academic award recognition.
