HANOVER, N.H. – Saturday morning brought warmer temperatures and sunny skies for the first time in recent weeks to Hanover as the Dartmouth lightweight rowing team hosted No. 4 Yale in the annual Durand Cup, falling in all three events. 

Starting with the third varsity eight event, the Bulldogs entered two boats in the race and took first place (5:44.96) with an advantage of 16 seconds as their third boat came in second (5:50.35) and the Big Green placed third (6:00.23).

The second varsity race finished with a closer margin, as Yale came in first place (5:46.00) just seven seconds ahead of Dartmouth (5:53.03). In the first varsity the road team prevailed again (5:35.11), taking a 12-second win over the Big Green (5:47.67).

Tomorrow Dartmouth will host another opponent in Columbia for the Subin Cup starting at 9:00 a.m.
