GOLD RIVER, Calif. – After a good showing in the heats on day one of competition, the Dartmouth lightweight rowing team returned to the water on Sunday on the final day of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Regatta on Lake Natoma on Sunday.

The Big Green were highlighted by a third-place finish in the Grand Final of the varsity 4+. Dartmouth finished in eighth place overall at the event.

"We're quite happy with our performance at the IRA's, particularly with the 4+," head coach Sean Healey said. "It was a strong finish to our season. We're looking forward to building on our success next season."

Dartmouth was sixth in the Grand Final of the varsity 4- (6:25.62), completing the course less than four seconds behind Penn (6:21.93). 

In the Grand Final of the 4+, the Big Green finished in third place (6:32.59), crossing the line just two-tenths of a second behind Harvard (6:32.35). Navy won the event with a time of 6:26.60. Columbia took fourth, completing the course four seconds behind the Big Green (6:36.68).
