CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Dartmouth lightweight rowing team began its 2017-18 campaign at the Head of the Charles.
The Head of the Charles is the largest two-day regatta in the world, where more than 11,000 athletes compete in 61 events and spectator crowds close to 400,000 come to watch the regatta.
The Big Green had a squad compete in the Varsity 4+, where they finished in sixth place on Sunday afternoon (16:13.805), ahead of Penn and Harvard. Yale took the win, while Columbia finished third. This is the same place Dartmouth finished in the Varsity 4+ last year at the Head of the Charles.
Next weekend the Big Green will continue its fall action at the Princeton Chase on Sunday, October 29.
