The women’s golf team begins the spring season this Sunday at the FAU Winter Warm-Up hosted by Florida Atlantic University at Osprey Point in Boca Raton, Florida.
The women are coming off of a competitive fall season that included three big tournaments —the Dartmouth Invitational, the Princeton Invitational and the Louisville Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia.
Highlights from the fall included a third-place team finish at the Dartmouth Invitational on the Hanover Country Club par-72 course as the ladies finished with a 604 (+28). Five competitors finished in the top 25, with seniors Catharine Roddy and Jessica Kittelberger tying for fifth and seventh, respectively.
The women also recorded improvements across the board between rounds at the Louisville Invitational, where everyone lowered their scores in the second round despite the poor weather conditions. The best individual round in the fall was turned in by Kittelberger, who carded a one-under 71 over the first 18 holes at the Dartmouth Invitational.
The FAU Winter Warm-Up will give the Big Green golfers to get an early start on the spring season. The next tournament won’t take place for another month when Dartmouth travels across the country to the Otter Invitational hosted by UCLA Monterey at Poppy Hills Golf Club in Pebble Beach, California.
The Big Green have three other tournaments on the schedule to prepare for the Ivy League Championship, which takes place on April 20-22 at the Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson, New Jersey.
