HANOVER, N.H. — Today the Chicago Bears announced the free-agent signing of former Dartmouth quarterback Dalyn Williams following his participation in rookie camp last month.

Williams, a 6-0, 210-pound native of Corinth, Texas, signed in time to participate in the final OTA (organized team activities) on Thursday. The Bears will conduct a mandatory three-day mini-camp next week beginning on Tuesday.

Last fall Williams led the Big Green to a 9-1 overall record and a share of its first Ivy League title in 19 years, completing 219-of-342 passes (.640) for 2,592 yards and 17 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He set numerous Dartmouth career records during his four-year tenure, including 32 starts behind center (24-8 record), 7,458 passing yards, 620 completions, 8,952 total yards and a 62.7 completion percentage.

Williams joins Jacob Flores (Green Bay Packers) and Vernon Harris (Kansas City Chiefs) as members of the Class of 2016 to sign free-agent deals this spring.
