HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men’s cross country team heads to the Big Apple to take on the rest of the Ancient Eight Friday afternoon at the 2017 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship.
The 8 K race is once again set to take place at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
The Big Green have had a roller coaster fall, starting with a win at home in the season-opening Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational at the Hanover Country Club in early September. Injuries and illness have led to mixed results at other meets, but a wide-open field and a promising young core with a good mix of veterans has Dartmouth optimistic heading into Friday.
Last season, the team finished in the middle of the pack, taking fourth, a place the Big Green are looking to improve upon in 2017.
