NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Dartmouth men’s tennis had another good day at the ITA Northeast Regional on Friday, winning all three of its doubles matches and four singles matches.
In the Round of 32, junior Roko Glasnovic and sophomore Charlie Broom had an 8-2 victory over their Lehigh opponents, while freshman Dan Martin and sophomore David Horneffer took down a pair of players from Sacred Heart, 8-1. Senior Max Fliegner and freshman Peter Conklin had a slightly tougher time, but ended up with an 8-5 victory over Drexel.
Three of the Big Green’s singles matches went to three sets. Freshman John Speicher came out on the winning side of his match with Brown’s Jack Haworth, dropping the first set, 6-3, before coming back to take the remaining two, 6-2, 6-0. Broom and Martin took down their opponents in two sets to pick up their second wins of the day, while senior Ciro Riccardi had a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Harvard’s Lucas Koelle.
Action will continue at regionals on Saturday morning.
