TULSA, Okla. – Dartmouth men’s tennis sophomore Charlie Broom played in the main draw of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-America Tournament on Thursday, falling in the first round.

The event is taking place at the University of Tulsa through Sunday, Oct. 8. The Hertfordshire, England, native was one of just two players selected for the main draw from the Northeast.

Broom took on Tennessee’s Timo Stodder, who is currently ranked No. 17 in the country. The Big Green sophomore fought hard, but ultimately fell 6-3, 6-1.

On Friday, Broom will play in consolation singles.
