HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men’s tennis team returned to action on day two of its home tournament on Saturday. The Big Green went 8-0 in doubles and 8-1 in singles. 

Dartmouth’s four doubles pairs all went 2-0 throughout the day. Freshmen Peter Conklin and John Speicher had a very close, 8-7, victory over a pair from Yale, while the Big Green duo had a slightly easier 8-4 win over their opponents from Binghamton later in the day. Junior Roko Glasnovic and freshman Dan Martin took down Brown’s Peter Litsky and Jacob Walker, 8-0. 

The Green ended up on the winning side of all three three-set singles matches that they played. Senior Max Fliegner dropped his first set to Yale’s Andrew Heller, 6-1, but rallied to win the remaining two, 6-3, 7-5. Facing Walker, Martin took the first set by a score of 7-5 and dropped the second, 6-4. The Dartmouth rookie fought hard to take the third, 6-2.

Junior Eddie Grabill faced Charles Tan of Brown, starting things off with a 6-3 win before dropping a very close second set by a score of 7-6. Grabill rebounded to win the third, 6-1. 

Day three of the Dartmouth Invite begins at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
