HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men’s tennis won eight of its 10 singles matches on day one of its home tournament on Friday.

Seniors Max Fliegner and Ciro Riccardi both walked away with victories. Fliegner had an easy 6-2, 6-2 win over Boston University’s Owen Lu, while Riccardi took down Binghamton’s Adrien Bouchet, 7-6, 6-4. Freshmen Peter Conklin and Dan Martin also had wins over players from Binghamton; Conklin had to go to three sets to defeat Kushaan Nath, and Martin had an easy 6-0, 6-3 defeat of Tiago Lourenco. 

Rookies Gilbert Jaeger and John Speicher both faced opponents from BU. Jaeger had a 6-0, 7-5 win over Marc Sable, while Speicher defeated David Bogatin, 6-4, 6-0. 

The Big Green will return to action at 10 a.m. on Saturday for day two of the Dartmouth Invite.
