PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Sophomores Roko Glasnovic and Eddie Grabill represented the Dartmouth men’s tennis team in the qualifying draw on the first day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional Championship at Penn on Thursday.
In the first round, Grabill defeated Binghamton’s Ludovico Cestarollo in three sets, winning the first set by a score of 6-3, but dropping the second, 7-5. The Big Green sophomore fought back to win the third, 6-4, to take the match. Glasnovic also competed in the first round, falling to NJIT’s Lukas Zvikas (6-2, 6-4).
Grabill advanced to the second round and drew Freddie Zaretsky of Quinnipiac with a berth in the singles main draw on the line. The Bobcat walked away with a 6-3, 6-3 victory.
Dartmouth will return to action on Friday as main draw singles and doubles get underway.
